DAY 2
So after breakfast, we went to Bulguksa. The temple is classified as Historic and Scenic Site No.1 by the South Korean government. The temple is considered as a masterpiece of the golden age of Buddist art in the Silla kingdom.
In Bulguksa, there is the Dabotap which is also known as the pagoda in the 10won coin.
And after visiting Bulguksa, we went to Goryeong!
Our first destination in Goryeong was the Daegaya Mueseum.
There we get to learn about the people and the culture in Daegaya kingdom which existed a long long time ago.
And right after that we took a 5 minute walk to the Jisan Tomb Site where Kings and there servents were buried.
It is one of the most unique tombs in Korea and there were over 200 tombs in that area.
After that we went to Gaesil Village and made Korean Traditional Candy called Yeot, 엿.
We were well taught by 'older sisters' in that village on how to make delicious yeot.
It was an interesting experience for me since I get to eat candy while making it!
After eating delicious candy, we went to cosmos street to take awesome pictures with cosmos flowers!
And right after an awesome photoshoot session, we attended the Daegaya Starry Night Festival where we made wishes and lighted up lanterns.
Although Goryeong is just a small town in S.Korea, it is definately a place worth visiting.
Stay tune for day 3!
